Rumevite ® Magnesium Capsules
A slow-release magnesium capsule designed to provide continuous magnesium supplementation and help reduce the risk of grass tetany during high-risk periods.
KEY FEATURES
- Continuous daily magnesium release directly into the rumen for 9–12 weeks, helping to reduce the risk of grass tetany (hypomagnesaemia) in cattle.
- Reliably supports magnesium levels during high-risk periods
- Convenient once-a-season treatment—no need for daily supplementation
- Magnesium is released in its fully available form (Mg++), absorbed precisely where it’s needed in the rumen
- Developed by CSIRO, and APVMA registered
RECOMMENDED INTAKES
- Each Rumevite Magnesium Capsule provides 2–3g of available magnesium daily
- One capsule provides 9-12 weeks of intake.
FEEDING DIRECTIONS
- Administer 1 Rumevite Magnesium Capsule per animal using a suitable applicator, at least 7 days before the anticipated grass tetany risk period
- Capsules should be administered into the rumen where they will release magnesium continuously over a 9–12 week period
- Suitable for use in:
- Pasture-grazing beef cows, replacement heifers and steers
- Low input dairy systems
- Replacement dairy heifers
- The capsule design prevents regurgitation after administration and stays in the rumen during the effective period
- Ensure cattle have unrestricted access to pasture or supplementary feed during the risk period to support overall health and nutrition.
SAFETY & OTHER INFORMATION
- Ruminants cannot store magnesium, so a consistent, daily supply is critical. The capsule provides this without the need for daily feeding interventions
- The magnesium is released by an electrolytic process, ensuring the magnesium is in a form readily absorbed by the cow (Mg++)
- APVMA Approval Number: 63847
- DO NOT administer to animals other than cattle.
- Always follow administration guidelines and consult your veterinarian if unsure.
